Botticino DOC La Foja
Botticino DOC La Foja is an intense ruby red wine with garnet reflections. The long aging process gives this wine an unmistakable bouquet, with hints of vanilla, tobacco, and red berries.

It is produced in a hilly area in the Lombard Prealps, particularly protected from cold northern currents, where a favorable microclimate develops.
The grapes grow at an altitude between 400 and 600 meters above sea level in historic vineyards aged between thirty and forty years, with yields per hectare of about 80-90 quintals of grapes.
The harvest is done late and strictly by hand, with a targeted selection of the best clusters.
The soils are composed of "marna," a soil with a characteristic light color very similar to the production areas of the great Piedmont wines, which, thanks to its southeast sun exposure, gives the grapes unique and particular characteristics.

FEATURES
This wine is aged for over three years in Slavonian oak barrels with a capacity of about 15 hectoliters, and then refined for over three months in the bottle before being released to the market.
It has an alcohol content of 14.5% and is particularly suitable for all types of red meat and savory cold cuts, without neglecting flavorful cheeses.
It should be served at a temperature between 18-20 degrees, preferably using a large tulip-shaped glass to enhance the aromas; it is important to open the bottle at least two hours before consumption.
BLEND

The blend consists of four grape varieties:
Barbera 40% - a grape variety particularly suitable for aging, important for the structure, giving body and liveliness.
Marzemino 30% - a grape variety with classic Friulian origins, important for giving the wine brilliant and intense colors.
Sangiovese 20% - of Tuscan origin, important for its refined, delicate, and highly personality-driven aromas.
Schiava Gentile 10% - a historic grape variety in local productions and of indigenous origin, important for providing softness and freshness to the product.
