Oil obtained from pressing the olives harvested in the first half of November. Since the olives are still halfway through ripening, they retain all their nutritional characteristics, which are transferred to the oil.
OIL CHARACTERISTICS
The POGGIORIOTTO organic extra virgin olive oil is characterized by:
Color: green with yellowish reflections. Intense, persistent, with hints of freshly cut grass, olive leaf, and almond. Almost sweet, harmonious in its bitterness and pungency, with good persistence. Aftertaste of almond and thistle.
TASTING METHOD
I recommend tasting the Poggioriotto extra virgin olive oil raw, on vegetable soups, fresh cheeses, summer salads, lake fish, and on all dishes where you want to enhance the aroma.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Taste: Medium-light fruity
Cultivar:
55% Leccino, Casaliva, Frantoio, percentage that respects the Garda DOP regulations. Pendolino, Maurino, Coratina, typical southern quality, gives the oil a more fruity taste and provides essential nutrients for the body (antioxidants).
