Red wine obtained mainly from Barbera, Schiava, Sangiovese grapes and in smaller quantities from slightly dried Marzemino grapes in crates. The vineyards are cultivated on hills, the grapes are thinned to control the yield, and a late harvest is carried out (around the first decade of October) to achieve optimal sugar and polyphenol maturation.
Harvesting is strictly manual, with gentle crushing and a 30-day maceration on the skins. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation occurs in wooden barrels, where it then ages for 36 months. This results in a structured, full-bodied, and elegant wine. The slight drying of the Marzemino grapes adds complexity and softness to the taste and aroma. Perfect with roasts, substantial dishes, and as a meditation wine.
